Bright ‘n Green Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

On Wednesday October 29th, 2014 we celebrated the Bright ‘n Green Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Attendees enjoyed mimosas and pastries from a neighborhood bakery while learning about local and national environmental conservation and healthy living projects, organizations and initiatives from our special guests.
PART I
Speakers: New York State Assemblymember Alec Brook-Krasny, Pat Singer – Founder and Executive Director of the Brighton Neighborhood Association.
PART II
Music by Dr. Alan Bigelow, Columbia University Physicist and founding member of solar-powered, eco-rock band Solar Punch – whose mission is to raise awareness about climate change and to promote sustainable living. Photos of Nepal Solar Trek here and more on solar cooking here.
Speakers include: Wyldon King Fishman – Founder and President of the New York Solar Energy Society (NYSES), Margaret Badore – the New York Editor of Treehugger.com, Bright ‘n Green Structural Enginering Consultant Dr. Cristian Vimer, members of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, and more.
